This hands-on workshop will review the features and basic functions of the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). Attendees will learn how to establish communications with the PLC, retrieve existing files, and modify programming for a possible change in a manufacturing process. Students will learn about programming move and data compare statements using various control applications. Energy saving scenarios will be presented and programmed into the PLC to demonstrate the effectiveness of automated controls.
