California Advanced Lighting Controls Training Program – AT Technician: Lighting Acceptance Test Technician Certification Course - 2 Day Workshop

This 16-hour course is divided into four modules consisting of lab, lecture activities and an exam.  The modules content is organized to answer the following questions about lighting controls verification: what is the energy code, what is the test technician responsibilities, what are the employer’s responsibility, acceptance test process, overview of acceptance test procedures for indoor lighting, overview of acceptance testing procedures for outdoor lighting, and compliance documentation
 
Course Objectives:
• Understand the purpose and scope of installation and acceptance testing
• Identify the building and lighting systems that require acceptance testing
• Understand the role and responsibilities of a lighting controls acceptance test technicians and technician employers
• Review the process for the lighting controls acceptance tests
• Review lighting systems compliance documentation requirements
 
Target Audience:
• CALCTP certified electricians
• Alternative candidates that meet required prerequisites

Prerequisite:
Completed the CALCTP 50-hour training or CALCTP Systems course. 
Prerequisite for Alternative Candidates:
All non-state certified general electricians candidates must meet the experience requirements and complete the CALCTP Systems course.
