Code Officials - Host a 'Crack the Code' workshop in your own jurisdiction.

Activate ONLINE REGISTRATION for your own local Workshop!

If you represent a local building code jursidiction and want to schedule a course in your own area using your own instructor(s), just follow these simple steps:

Step 1. REGISTER (or if your jurisdiction already has a registered Host, LOGIN)

This gives you access the special features of this website available only to  authorized code officials. Please be sure to use the real name and official email address of the contact person you wish to name as the official "Host" in your jurisdiction. This information will be subject to verification, and will become part of your jurisdiction's online profile (edit your Profile to update it).

Step 2. Complete the Workshop Submission Form

After you have completed the registration process, return to this page and fill in the form that will appear here. (If you don't see the form, make sure you are registered AND logged in). Here is what you’ll need to register your workshop:

  1. Select from our list the course module you plan to use for this event
  2. The physical address where your workshop will be held
  3. The date and time of your workshop
  4. The name, title and email address of your lead Presenter
    • Presenter may be different from your jurisdiction's Host
    • Emails are for notice only; will not appear on the website
  5. Comments (e.g., a description, note to registrants, presenter bios, etc.)

Step 3. Click "Submit This Event"

Once submitted, your designated “Host” will receive a confirmation email including a unique Event ID#, all the details you entered, and a unique web link to your jurisdiction's registration tracking page. Each time a person registers, your "Host" and your lead "Presenter" will receive an automated email (if you don't get these emails, first check your spam filter, and then contact us for support).

To see how your event will appear to the public, go to the general Registration page and search for your jurisdiction or Event ID#. Repeat this procedure to submit a second event.

If you have any questions or feedback, please Contact Us.

These courses are provided at no charge and brought to you by the California Statewide Utilities Codes & Standards Program, funded by California utility customers under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission.
