Title 24, Part 6

California has set ambitious, but achievable, energy efficiency goals.  Achieving those goals will require aggressive energy efficiency codes,  understanding of the energy codes by architects, engineers, and contractors, and effective enforcement by building departments.  Title 24, Part 6 building energy code sets a foundation for evaluating, regulating,and improving building performance, and safeguards owners and tenants from long-term financial burdens due to the wasted use of energy. Plus, it helps save the environment.

  • Beyond Title 24 2013 Energy Standards - NonResidential

    The Savings By Design Program (SBD) provides design assistance and substantial financial incentives to owners and design teams that apply energy efficiency, green building and sustainability best practices to realize high performance nonresidential projects.

    Incentives of up to $150,000 are available to owners, plus up to $50,000 more for design teams that engage SBD assistance at the earliest stages of the design process.
